THIS WEEK AT HYPEROID - 31/03/2023
This Week At Hyperoid, we are go for launch.
TL;DR
This week the PROJECT ERIS demo has been released to the Google Play Store! If you have tried the demo out, please do remember to give feedback if you can, it would help a lot. Also bought a MacBook just to build iOS version but am still running into some complications.
Demo Released On Google Play Store!
A day or so after the previous TWAH article, the demo was approved to be released on the Google Play Store. Honestly, I was relieved that the approval process didn’t take longer.
Just a friendly reminder to people who have tried the demo already, please do leave feedback if you can. The most straight forward way would be to leave a review on the actual store listing. There are other ways to give feedback as well, see previous TWAH article for more information on that. Your feedback directly contributes to making this project something bigger and better.
Trouble With iOS
The iOS version of the demo is set to release shortly after the Android release. I bought a MacBook in order to build for iOS so I didn’t have to resort to utilising a virtual machine, which was proving unstable for me.
With that being said, I set up the MacBook with all the necessary applications and files needed for the project. However, I ran into a slight complication. A crucial application needed in order to build the iOS version of the demo is Xcode. And in order get this application I would need to sign in to my Apple account. Okay, now worries. I tried signing into my Apple account but the password was wrong every time. Okay, no big deal, let’s just reset the password. I did this and now my Apple account is in the process of being ‘recovered‘. It was stated that this process may take up to several days. Once it’s recovered though, I will promptly release the iOS version of the demo onto the App Store.
*sigh*…
Closing Thoughts
I kind of understand why the process of recovering my Apple account may take several days. Again, this isn’t a surprise since it seems like an ‘Apple’ thing to do. Hopefully it won’t actually take several days just to recover the account. I mean, I was just trying to reset my password after all.
In the meantime, for those of you on Android, download the demo from the Google Play Store and give it a whirl. Do remember to give feedback if you can. It would mean a lot.
P.S. The banner image you are seeing on this post was AI generated here. It looks cool so I might keep doing it for future posts.
